The other helpful part, which really impressed my father and my husband, was Premier’s ability to navigate all the bureaucratic nonsense associated with Long Term Care Insurance.
“It’s a difficult, emotional, stressful task to find the right care for “aging parents.” Premier was recommended to my husband and me by several different friends and coworkers. In the interest of due diligence we “interviewed” several companies, but ended up going with Premier for my Mother’s care. We couldn’t be more pleased or impressed! They cared for my mother like she was their own. We met with the owner, John O’Callaghan and Loretta Moreno and they introduced us to several caregivers they felt would be a good fit not only for my mom, but myself and my dad as well! If you have an “aging parent,” then you will understand that its not easy for them to admit they need assistance, let alone accept it! But, luckily, my mother took to and I felt no need to micromanage! Terri was truly a blessing!! Before I got involved helping my family take care of my uncle we first tried another franchise agency that was not very successful. My uncle did not want a stranger in his house nor think he needed the help, and believe me he did. The quality of caregivers, service level and attention my uncle and family received from Premier Caregiver Service was a wholly different experience. John and his Operations Manager, Loretta Moreno, took time to meet with my family, get to know my uncle, his personality, specific needs, likes and dislikes and then personally introduced each caregiver who came to help, which made it a very comfortable experience. “Caregivers. They understand the complexities of coordinating caregivers for various medical needs, ever changing schedules on our part, and making staff substitutions when personalities don’t quite mesh with the clients’. All of the caregivers have been extremely patient and helpful. They keep thorough notes on medications given, food intake, and other client needs. They are willing to prepare meals, do light housework, and assist with things like dressing. I appreciate that they are also sensitive to the fact that sometimes it is appropriate to be in the background to allow privacy. Premier Caregivers is a great resource if you have a loved one that needs care during recovery, long term care, or if you need a break short term. Take the vacation and be confident that your parents are in good hands!“

“Just for the record, our caregiver is an angel with our Dad. While I was practicing my newest hobby of insomnia, I checked in on Dad with the nanny cam. I heard them tell Dad no less then 5 times in 10 minutes not to touch his catheter because he may be getting it out tomorrow. Every time, he was as nice and kind as though it was the first time. My Dad….told them “we sure do get along good don’t we.” After I finished crying, I realized what a gift this young man is giving our father. He isn’t just taking care of his needs, he is being his friend. You are very fortunate to have him as an employee.”
